Responsibilities of Panelists
-
Review the Conference Program to confirm your presentation time. Inform me of any typographical errors or potential conflicts as soon as possible (jhussar@fullerton.edu).
-
Limit your presentation to the allocated time. Each session lasts 50 minutes, with at least the last five minutes reserved for audience questions and discussion. Therefore, to determine your maximum allocated time, divide 45 minutes by the number of presentations in your panel. For example, if your panel has a total of three presentations, each should last no longer than 15 minutes (45 ÷ 3 = 15).
-
If you plan to use PowerPoint or other programs, practice with the "Share" feature on Zoom.
-
Please join us for the keynote event. Also, please support your fellow presenters by attending sessions as members of the audience.
Responsibilities of Moderators
-
Familiarize yourselves with the pronunciation of the panelists’ names and the titles of their presentations.
-
Begin and end sessions on time.
-
Introduce the panel to the audience by briefly stating the theme and naming participants and their presentation titles.
-
Hold panelists to time limits. Two minutes before each panelist’s time will expire, use a prearranged cue, such as a chime or bell, so that presentations wrap up on time.
-
Hold questions from the audience until the end of the session, after all panelists have presented.
